My inspiration
From the very beginning of my studies, nature has always been at the heart of my work, so it felt completely natural to draw inspiration from my natural surroundings.
One sunny spring afternoon, I was experimenting with the leaves from my garden, pressing them into clay. The initial idea was to create clay blocks imprinted with the leaves and flowers from my garden, which could then be printed onto fabric, thus creating a collection of household linens inspired by nature.
After gaining solid design experience within a home linen company and acquiring knowledge in textiles, it felt natural to imagine a bed linen collection featuring leaf and flower prints. While printing onto fabric, I realized that the effect achieved on clay was far more complex. I therefore decided to use clay to create a tile—a tile of raised leaves—imagining and shaping leaves in a three-dimensional form. From this highly personal tile, the collection of imprints was created, drawing directly from the plants in my garden.
Talent à la Carte
J'ai décidé de participer au concours Talent à la Carte du Salon Maison et Objet à Paris. Quand j'ai été sélectionné pour être l'un des six talents, j'ai pensé que c'était une opportunité incroyable pour que ma collection se fasse connaître par le monde des professionnels. Ces cinq jours d'exposition ont été, pour moi, une véritable révélation, où j'ai découvert que ma collection a été un succès. Il y a eu 3 tournants majeurs dans l'histoire de IMPRINTS, à commencer par le Salon Maison et Objet à Paris, puis la mise en place d'un réseau de distribution en France et au Royaume-Uni et enfin IMPRINTS qui a été mandaté pour décorer le concept store d'Yves Rocher. sur le très symbolique Boulevard Haussmann à Paris.
